The Department of Oncology at NS Co-Operative Hospital offers evidence-based and advanced medical services regarding the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of solid tumours and haematological malignancy in adults and children. We are a group of multidisciplinary team which include Medical Oncologist, Surgical Oncologist, Head and Neck Oncologist and Reconstruction surgeon, Radiation Oncologist, Pain and Palliative Care Team, Onco Psychologist and Onco dieticians.

The department provides comprehensive cancer care by providing medical and surgical services, expert opinion for radiation oncology, psychological support and dietary services. The department has an outpatient chemotherapy specialized day care unit which is convenient and comfortable to the patients. We have the most efficient technology that consists of chemo ports and indwelling catheters to provide safe and efficient treatment. We are committed to making cancer care affordable. We provide 50% – 70% discount on all cancer medications for eligible patients. We regularly perform complex cancer surgeries including HIPEC and many of them are first time in the district.
